Ray Thomas is a wildlife/nature Photographer living in Idaho Falls, Idaho, only about 110 miles from Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. He and his wife, Jo, travel the world every opportunity they get. Ray has photographed wildlife in Alaska's Inside Passage, as well as Homer, Kodiak and Katmai Alaska; the African continent including Botswana, Kenya, and South Africa; and the Polar Bears along the shores of the Hudson Bay around Churchill, Manitoba. He's also extensively photographed Ireland and Scotland. It all started as a hobby, but due to local requests for his prints, he started a part time business to sell his images, mostly through word-of-mouth. Ray has also seen his photographs published in local and regional magazines. One of his works, an intimate picture of a cow bison with her newborn calf, was selected for public display at Old Faithful, Yellowstone National Park, in the summer of 2013. This photo is available for purchase. Now retired, Ray devotes his time fully to travelling, photographing and sharing the wonderful world of wildlife and nature. He has amassed hundreds of thousands of photographs. If you need something that you do not see on this site or his Facebook page, please contact Ray because he probably has the photograph you are looking for. If you will be visiting Yellowstone National Park, feel free to contact Ray to find out the best places to view wildlife.
